An amazing day was had by all on Sunday as we enjoyed the fabulous Sunrise to Sunset Spinathon organised by our hardworking Parent Support Group.
There was an early start with our first cyclists kicking off at 7am as the sun was coming up in the Brantry.
Enthusiastic cyclists came to spin throughout the day until the grand Finale at 8.30pm. This was a fabulous event for the whole community with friends from far and wide coming out to support us.
It was all systems go from 2-4pm as our children all got in on the action. The P1- 3 children cycled around the track and P4-7 took part on the spin bikes!
With the sun shining, everyone enjoyed the BBQ provided by Quinn's Corner and a welcomed visit from Mc Moo's Ice-cream van.
We are ever so thankful to Shane Donnelly for providing us with the spin bikes and Declan Hackett, Maria McKee and Declan Begley for their instructor led sessions and for putting us through our paces.
A special word of thanks to our PSG and to everyone who sponsored, donated or helped out in any way. The children of Derrylatinee will benefit greatly from the funds raised.
