Derrylatinee Primary School, Dungannon, Tyrone

Principal's Welcome

I would like to welcome you to Derrylatinee St. Francis’ Primary School website.

I am incredibly proud to be Principal of Derrylatinee and continually inspired by our happy, kind, respectful children whose dedication to learning shines through in everything they do. I am equally grateful for our devoted staff who nurture and support every child, and for our families, whose partnership is at the heart of our school community. Derrylatinee is a truly warm and welcoming place, and I feel privileged to be part of this special family.

Our mission, We work, play and pray together as Jesus taught us, guides us and encapsulates all that we do to ensure that every child can reach their full potential. Here in Derrylatinee we have a strong sense of community, and we do things together - whether it's working, playing, or praying. We follow Jesus' example in how we treat one another, with kindness, compassion, and love.

‘Mol an óige agus tiocfaidh sí’ (Praise the youth and they will flourish) is our guiding principle, focusing on nurturing and praising our children. Through empowerment and through a broad, balanced, and inclusive curriculum, every child feels supported and valued which enables them to grow, flourish and succeed.

Please feel free to contact me for a viewing of our school. We would be delighted to show you all that Derrylatinee St. Francis’ Primary School can offer.

Mrs Orla Harris

Principal

School Creed

This is our school.
Let peace dwell here.
Let the rooms be full of contentment.
Let love abide here:
Love of one another,
Love of life itself
And love of God.
Let us remember
That as many hands build a house,
So many hearts make a school.
