Primary 2 and 3 have been enjoying their new topic 'Polar Lands'.
Today, we woke up to a world of ice and snow! Mrs Goodwin had planned Literacy but instead we packed up and ventured out into the Arctic and became Polar Explorers!!! ....a very last minute 'expedition'.
We took our role play area with us too- we set up our polar camp, pitching our tent, setting up our camp fire and chairs.
Next, we ventured off around the 'Arctic' with our binoculars to find to some Arctic animals! We found a few even though they were a bit tricky to spot in the snow because they were camouflaged.
Finally, we warmed up around the campfire with a some hot chocolate from the flasks in our backpack!! Lots of excitement in our learning today!!
